Car Show / Cruise Listings

The Capital District Chevrolet Club has been in existence since 1977, when the late Roy Minshell and two others were the founding fathers. The first meeting was held that year at DeNooyer Chevrolet, Albany, New York in the customer lounge. Roy and his friends wished to create a vintage and classic car club where enthusiasts could share their interest in preserving and restoring all types of cars while enjoying fellowship among members. Following Roy's model, CDCC has attained these goals, and will continue to grow as it furthers the car hobby. Under club president Phil Trifaro's leadership, the club currently has approximately 50 members owning approximately 40 antique and classic vehicles spanning eight decades.
Monthly meetings are held the first Thursday of each month, 7:30 PM at the Route 7 Diner, three miles west of the Latham Traffic Circle on Route 7 across from Keeler Motorcar. Yearly cruise events are taken to car hobby related destinations. A summer picnic is held annually and a Christmas party is enjoyed by all. Annual CDCC contributions aid the Regional Foodbank of Northeastern New York in addition to a scholarship award to a Hudson Valley Community College student majoring in the automotive technology program.
Club member Bob Adler stays abreast on current legislation that could adversely affect the classic car / truck hobby. Editors Jeff and Donna Bazicki publish monthly newsletter (Bowtie Bulletin) containing information on the hobby as well as features on the club members and their cars.
Annual dues for a single membership are $20.00 and $30.00 for a family membership. Membership chairperson, Pete Battaglia invites anyone to come to one of our meetings and get to know CDCC.
